After a successful first Newbalaya in 2022, Bordeaux Bike Polo is happy to announce the second edition of the Newbalaya, on October 12-13 in Bordeaux!

The newbalaya tournament is adressed to newbs only (with Polo birth date after 21/10/22) team! Every team must have a Coach! If you can’t find one, we’ll try to arrange something locally.

We want to encourage mixed teams and teams with people from the same club. If they are too many registrations, we will prioritize the teams with those criteria in mind

Hello Céleste, j’aimerais m’inscrire avec une équipe mais j’ai commencé le polo 2 semaines avant la première édition du Newbalaya. Est-ce que ce serait tout de même possible ?

Hey!
C’est anticipé mais, par curiosité, y a t’il des dispositions spécifiques lié à la présence d’un coach dans le déroulement des matchs ?
Je pense spécifiquement au fait qu’il serait intéressant que le coach ait le droit d’appeler un time out comme les joueurs.

Well!

The second edition of Newbalaya was a huge success!
We had teams from far and wide. The level of play was shockingly high, and we’re pleased to report that we had no serious injuries during the event.

Shout out to:

Beagle! From London, who coached his team Zattere to the final match after multiple golden goals. He was voted best coach!

Margot!! Who was awarded MVP of the tournament, with her team Fullinta! So much speed, so much big shots, team spirit, just awesome!!!

Justine!! Coach for her team Steal Shawarma Singers, and chosen as the best referee of the tournament! We hope to see her next year for the ref camp!

Remark:
Our pick-up matches two days after the tournament was populated with 4 brand new Newbies who are super stoked to join the club.We’re already set for the next tournament…
