Early January 2025 ? In GVP we plan to talk about it in the next weeks. Subjects that needs to be adressed that i personally have in mind now : - Format for swiss champs 2025 (St Gall, september 2025) Team size (3v3, 4v4) Mixed mandatory ? - Format for EURO selection 2025 Dates and city ? Hey peops We’ve heard rumors about Euros happening maybe in early July in Perpignan - can somebody confirm that this could be a thing? If this is the case, we need to talk about the qualification. As we were planning to announce a first edition of the swiss league in the Lausanne region soon, we finally thought that we could transform this tournament into euro qualifiers instead. It would then be probably a 2-day tournament, maybe a round robin without elimination phase, and with the team requirements as the euros (4v4). Mixity would be again the big question to discuss… Maybe a compromise? First 2 overall teams go to the euros followed by the 2 best mixed teams? Timing for the tournament would be probably in May or June. If we don’t organise any qualification tournament, do we just use the ranking if last year’s swiss champs and hope that these teams still exist? Let me know your thoughts on this 😘 ---

We are in talks with Perpignan. They could potentially do it, but in a similar scheme to Berlin’s last minute euros: “we build it, you run it”. Early July. I’ll talk to @Tristewn to confirm. ---

I am afraid that we dont have so much time to find any week-end before juillet to make qualifications… furthermore that this spring there are already a lot of tournaments annunced. To me I would vote to take last swiss ranking as a order to register in Perpignan. Do we know how many teams would like to go ? I know Bella want ---

Same as Jojo I really think last Swiss Champs ranking should be fine unless too many teams are different from last season. It’s already hard to prepare with such a short timing before euros, so a qualifier before that is even tougher. Bella ! wants to go so that’s 1, what are the other teams who want to go ? ---

Indeed now we have much less time than when I first mentionned the topic 😉. So there will probably be no qualifiers, unless a club jumps in very soon. For Bella the situation is pretty easy: In my opinion, you deserve an euro slot in any case, as you are probably one of the only teams that played the swiss champs in their original composition, and you won the tournament. So I understand that you don’t see the need for a qualifier. I raised the topic, as many other teams won’t play in the same composition. I don’t know if EPIC or Whoever will play together again, and if so, how many team members need to be the same? is it enough to just keep the team name but to switch half of the players? The case for my team was also weird, as we had a double replacement (Ladina and Rita could not attend/ were hurt), but we definitely want to go to the euros. Yet, we didn’t qualify during last swiss champs. So except for the Bella ! slot, most other slots seem unclear to me. But if we are only 4 teams willing to play euros, there will be no need for qualifiers either. ---
