Funkbras won the title in Hamburg
The Berlin team with Karsten, Lette and Max N. won the Sommerfest tournament in Hamburg at the weekend.
16 teams came to the legendary Hamburg tournament. On Saturday 5 Swiss Rounds were played in morning and afternoon group. On Sunday the teams from the Top4 had 2 games and the Bottom 12 Teams 3 games. The top 8 after the preliminary rounds then played a single elimination.
In the first quarterfinal Aalstrong(Robert, Oli, Max) from Hamburg faced Vendetta del Kevin(August, Sepp, Kevin). After a very even 1:1 Max Power scored the golden goal and shot his team into the semifinals.
In the second quarterfinal Halle01(Julius, Nils, Levin) played against Faisty Gooses(Tony, Eddy, Enrico). Again it came down to a golden goal, as neither team could score before the end of regulation time. In the end it was Tony who had a decisive moment and saved his team from elimination.
In the third quarterfinal Funkbras(Lette, Karsten, Max) played against Love&Adoration(Andy, Chris, Shadow). The Berlin team Funkbras won 1:0 and moved on to the next round.
The last quarterfinal was a duel between Caramba(Nele, Frax, Christoph) and Team Lindenau(Benni, Mo, Jan). Again it came to the golden goal. The Leipzig team around Benni finally lost with 2:1.
In the first semifinal Aalstrong met Faisty Gooses. In this game the team around Max Power could not quite keep up the previous performance and lost with 1:2.
In the second semi-final between Caramba and Funkbras the result was clearer. The team around Lette won with 3:1.
In the penultimate match of the day Caramba and Aalstrong faced each other. As usual in this tournament, it came to the golden goal, which was decided after a few minutes by Christoph. Caramba reached the podium by winning 4:3.
In the grand final Tony, Eddy and Enrico wanted to prove themselves to the Berlin team Funkbras. This did not work out so well, because the team around Max N. played very well together and could won 4:2 in the end.
