Enorm in form wins in Linz
Christoph, Levin and Dodi won the Steelcity tournament in Linz, Austria this weekend.
The tournament in Austria’s third largest city was attended by 9 teams. This resulted in an above-average number of games for the teams that traveled to the event. Among the participating were 6 Austrian teams.
On Saturday, each team played 8 games. After the 36 completed games, pickups were played until late at night.
On Sunday there was a double elimination with all 9 teams.
After the semifinals, the finals of the Winners/Losers Bracket were played. In the WB final Toyboys(Django, Jonas, Zappa) played against Enorm in Form (Christoph, Dodi, Levin). After the Graz team around Jonas won on Saturday, the cards were reshuffled on Sunday and Enorm in Form won 4:3
In the LB final Kyncel Culture (Martin, Jonáš, Adam) played against Maximum Critical Broccoli (Christopher, Conny, Max). The Austrian team around local hero Christopher lost to the team from Prague with 1:3 and reached place 4.
In the match for the entry into the big final the Toyboys and Kyncel culture faced each other.
After regular playing time and an equalizer 18 seconds before the end, the score was 2:2.
So the equal match had to be decided by a golden goal in the overtime.
After a short time Jonáš made the 3:2 and shot his team into the final.
In the afternoon Kyncl culture and Enorm in Form faced each other in the final.
The German team played a lot of 3up and created many chances, some of which they could use. The team around Kyncl could only use one chance. So the final score was 5:1.
This was the second Austrian final this year for the team Enorm in Form.
