Adam, Jono, Kat and Josh won in Bristol
Team YOLO won the Bristol mixed squad tournament last weekend.
Over two days 16 teams played on two courts. All teams were from the UK and for some it was their first tournament.
On Saturday, 5 Swiss Rounds were played and besides music and BBQ, there was a small karaoke session in the evening (;
On Sunday a double elimination with three brackets was played. The winners of the respective brackets could then play on.
In the first semi-final YOLO played against “seriously ridiculous” (Paul, Kat, Tom, Jimbo). Up until this game, Yolo had not lost a game. After 2:2 the golden goal was played. Yolo won this game with a final score of 3:2
In the second semi-final, “Tres Tacos” (Tony, Felix, Adam) met “seriously ridiculous”. The team around Tony was only three and looked for various subs. “Tres Tacos” won 4:1 and entered the final.
Tres Tacos won the first final 3:2, even though they had to score the golden goal.
But they had to beat Yolo twice, which they didn’t manage. Jono and Josh’s team continued their good performance in the previous rounds and won the second final 2:1
Kat from Yolo was happy about the victory and noted: “All the teams did a really good job of rotating their teams so flinta players weren’t left off court for too long.”

Adam, Jono, Kat und Josh gewinnen in Bristol
Team YOLO gewann am vergangenen Wochenende das Bristol mixed Squad Turnier.
An zwei Tagen spielten 16 Teams auf zwei Courts. Alle Teams kamen aus UK und fĂĽr einige war es auch das erste Turnier was sie spielten.
Samstag wurden 5 Swiss Rounds gespielt und neben Musik und BBQ gab es am Abend eine kleine Karaoke session (;
Am Sonntag wurde eine double elimination mit drei brackets gespielt. Die Gewinner des jeweiligen brackets konnten dann weiter spielen.
Im ersten Halbfinale spielte YOLO gegen “seriously ridiculous”(Paul, Kat, Tom, Jimbo). Bis zu diesem Spiel hatte Yolo noch kein Spiel verloren. Nachdem es 2:2 stand wurde das golden goal ausgespielt. Yolo gewann dieses Spiel, welches einen Endstand von 3:2 hatte.
Im zweiten Halbfinale trafen “Tres Tacos”( Tony, Felix, Adam) auf “seriously ridiculous”. Das Team um Tony war nur zu dritt und suchte sich diverse Subs. " Tres Tacos" konnte mit 4:1 gewinnen und zog ins Finale ein.
Das erste Finale konnte Tres Tacos mit 3:2 gewinnen, auch wenn sie dafĂĽr das golden goal schieĂźen mussten.
Doch Yolo raffte sich nochmal auf. Das Team um Jono und Josh knĂĽpfte an die guten Vorrunden an und gewann das zweite Finale mit 2:1.
Kat aus dem Team Yolo war sehr glücklich über den Sieg und merkte noch an: “Alle Teams haben ihre Mannschaften sehr gut durchrotiert, so dass die Flintas viel Spielzeit hatten.”
