August, Rado und Moritz D. gewinnen in Giessen
Nachdem der Platz und vorallem das Vereinshaus aufgearbeitet wurden, luden die Giessener mal wieder ein.
Da schon länger kein Turnier mehr ausgerichtet wurde, kamen Spielende aus ganz Deutschand.
Da mehr als die Hälfte der Teilnehmenden schon Freitag spielen wollte, gab es Freitag Nachmittag schon drei Runden.
Es war ein Singleplayer Format, also wurden die Teams jede Runde neu gemischt und die Spielenden bekamen jeweils Punke für einen Sieg oder Unentschieden.
Die restlichen Personen spielten Samstag Vormittag ihre drei Runden. Danach gab es eine große Gruppe in der nochmal 4 Runden gespielt wurden. Am Abend wurden noch fleißig Pickups gespielt.
Am Sonntag startete der Tag, wie auch schon am Samstag mit einem Frühstück, außerdem gab es an beiden Tagen ein warmes, leckeres Mittagessen. Sonntag Vormittag wurden dann noch zwei Runden gespielt, sodass jede Person mindestens 9 Spiele hatte.
Dann wurde die Tabelle gedrittelt und die Top8 jedes Drittels kam in die KO-Runde. In diesem Fall die Plätze 1-8, 14-22 und 33-41. Somit hatte jedes Team im Viertelfinale einen A, B und C Spieler. Pololegende Mo aus Frankfurt war nach der Vorrunde auf Platz eins, obwohl er immer gesubbt wurde da er selbst nicht spielte.
Nach vier spannenden Viertelfinals standen die Halbfinals an.
Im ersten Halbfinale spielten August, Rado und Basti gegen Clem, Mark und Daniel. Das Team um vorrunden dritten August gewann mit 4:2
Im zweiten Halbfinale standen sich Carsten, Mauro, Rico und Eddy, Moritz und Kathie gegenüber. Das Team um Lokalmatador Eddy konnte das Spiel eindeutig gewinnen und die drei Spielenden zogen ins Finale ein.
Die übrig gebliebenen 6 Personen wurden dann nochmal durchmischt und die Finalteams standen fest. Eddy spielte wieder mit Kathie, dritte Person war Basti. Sie spielten gegen Rado, August und Moritz.
Zuerst war es ein ausgeglichenes Spiel, doch dann konnte August zwei mal erfolgreich abschließen. Das Team um LeftyBasti aus Giessen konnte dann nochmal auf 2:1 verkürzen, verlor aber schlussendlich mit 3:1
Somit gewannen Rado, Moritz und August das Turnier, wobei August die Person mit der höchsten Gesamtpunktzahl war.

After the court and especially the clubhouse had been refurbished, the Giessen team once again invited to a weekend tournament.
Since there was no tournament organized there for a long time, players came from all over Germany.
Since more than half of the participants wanted to play already on Friday, there were already three rounds on Friday afternoon.
It was a singleplayer format and the teams were shuffled every round and the players got points for a win or draw.
The rest of the people played their three rounds Saturday morning. After that there was a big group in which 4 more rounds were played. In the evening pickups were still played.
On Sunday the day started, as on Saturday with a breakfast, in addition there was on both days a warm, tasty lunch.
Sunday morning two more rounds were played, so that each person had at least 9 games.
Then the table was divided into thirds and the top8 of each third went to the knockout round. In this case the places 1-8, 14-22 and 33-41, so each team had an A, B and C player.
Polo legend Mo from Frankfurt was in first place after the preliminary round, although he was always subbed because he did not play himself.
After four exciting quarterfinals, the semifinals were on.
In the first semi-final August, Rado and Basti played against Clem, Mark and Daniel. The team around the third August won with 4:2
In the second semifinal Carsten, Mauro, Rico and Eddy faced Moritz and Kathie. The team around local hero Eddy could win the game clearly and the three playing moved into the final.
The remaining 6 people were then shuffled again and the final teams were determined. Eddy played again with Kathie, third person was Basti. They played against Rado August and Moritz.
First it was an even game, but then August could finish two times successfully. The team around LeftyBasti from Giessen could shorten the score to 2:1, but finally lost 3:1
So Rado, Moritz and August won the tournament, with August being the person with the highest total score.
