Venezia Mestre bike polo makes 10 Years!! And the best way to celebrate is organizing a tournament. 14 teams with also friends from Portugal, France, Germany and Austria. 8 teams play in the morning and 6 in the afternoon, Sunday was double elimination scheduled. Saturday the groups were soaked by rain that did not upset the games, thanks also to a fast and fairly grippy court. The ranking after the 5 matches in the groups say “Crema”with Punch Mattia and Ricky( Vicenza ) first , second place with “cozze granate” Frix Tony and Fabri ( Bielefeld - Catania) followed in third place by “sgombro missile” Mazzetta Juba and Ste ( Conegliano - Padova ). The vibes were pretty quite and friendly, in the end also the local spritz help to keep quite funny time.
Sunday bracket start quite and when the sun comes out the level was get higher.
Games got were good to watch and everyone support favourite teams all day.
High level of polo and the predictions of the winner were really hard to get but teams got eliminated once after the other. Nice tournament for Donatella , tomtox Ana and richi from Milano play fast and close the tournament at 4th position. Lost the looser final against cozze granate 0-3, one goal for each teammate in spectacular match .
From the looser bracket the chance for play the final for cozze granate passed for the hard match against Crema . Another intense match finish with one golden goal. At just Frix and Mattia fight and the ball was still in the middle … punch catch faster with Frix that tried to cover it but he made a mess the shot and punch gift the final for Crema with 2-1 score. The first winner final it was won from sgombro missile 2-1 in one hard match to be refereed for Beagle . Him was the official referee for the final phase of the tournament . Thank u man ! So in this second chance for Crema, hard to play cause a bit tired , Mattia and punch won the first 2-1 with one shot from far away from Mattia and was necessary play a second final.
In the end was a third match against… everyone looks so tired and Crema played all tournament in 2 outside with one fixed in a goalie. Richi was back from 8 years without play polo but safe good them goalie.Another complicated match but the goal of juba and Ste were enough. Punch Keep the match on him shoulder and did 3 amazing goal. unfortunately wasn’t live-streamed.
