Heya

Is there any club with a code of conduct? We are looking for examples and/or experiences in writing one and how it got spread/applied in your club.

(We’ll be working on one for Berlin - happy to share when we got something.)

We have such a document in Lyon Bike Polo.
By registering yourself as a club member, you accept the terms of the document.
It may be not perfect but it exists !
Contact me if you want it (in french for now !).

We’re getting a COC together for our first tournament, would appreciate any English language resources :)

How many of the Lyon players are club members, more or less? Did you ever have to act on something that disrespected the code of conduct?

The process that momo mentioned above is still kinda ongoing :stuck_out_tongue:

(well, but i guess those things are iterative and always evolving anywayz)

I’d say around 25 members.
We had one player fired, once. But the situation was waaaaaay over the “respect” limit.
We have sometimes some lighter situations but it can always be fixed without waving the code of conduct flag.

Hey!

Here in Valencia we are working on a Violence and Harassment Protocol and we included a brief short paragraph with a COC. We’ve got a first version already. As Bouchard said, ours is also not perfect but at least we have one. We’ve been lately having situations where this would have been a good support so this is an urgent matter.

We got help and inspiration from the Argentinian version they’ve got years ago btw, not just our work.
