Committee for modifying the ruleset.

Friends, the European polo scene needs a structure/system/committee for modifying the ruleset. Please share your thoughts!

we can do it right here on poloverse :

-in the rules section we create a topic to adress a situation / rule line.

  • people discuss it ( have disscuss it before anyway probably)

  • a poll is created to vote about it : the voters register with their real name through their club rep , the list is verified by ehbpa officials only , the votes remains private to most of the public

-the process is set in a manner that it can be proccessed quickly , 2 weeks to allow communication around the vote and allow clubs to organize a voting round of table with most of the people in their clubs

-new rules accepted this way gets approved for the next season , a “voting season” can be set in the calendar.

Can we create a roster of club leaders with the authority to vote?

Maybe each club’s president should carry this responsibility.

I feel that we want to gauge how democratic the system for rule changes should be.

How many clubs are in europe anyway?

This thread is quite related. @Danana is collecting the information from clubs. Seems like it was agreed to not put any strain on EHBPC nor EHBA for this season but work in the background to make things happen for the next season.

I think the discussed proposals in that topic will also facilitate “structure/system/committee for modifying the ruleset”.

@metriod although the thread is related , its not bad that people come together to discuss a way to vote

@Bernard im not a big fan of putting the vote privilege & duty solely on one person : its not 100% representative , i think some voting might be subject to different ratios:

  • some voting might require a majority
  • some voting might not require for a majority

I don´t think it´s bad, the contrary in fact.
Just highlighting that there is strongly related thread. For those who may not be aware (like Bernie as it turns out).

Let´s not use Poloverse like social media and have repetitive discussions over and over again like in the past years but rather extract information and learn from past discussions

rather than a repetition i think that his topic deserve this new thread rather than add it to the other one , wich is more about creating a pool of volunteers.

but sure , lets cross post and see what happen anyway, i rather discuss the specifics of voting here tho
