Favorite SPD Shoes?

Looking to try clipping in and am searching for a good shoe. I’m a woman, and would be interested to know of preferred brands/style. Coming from playing on flats since 2017! Thanks for any insight :)

Time Atacs are the best clipless pedals for polo, and use the same shoes as SPD pedals.
SPDs are less reliable and often require regular adjustment.

just choose shoes that feel comfortable and you can easily walk in off bike (the spds are usually hidden in the sole more) and use the M spd’s which are easier to unclip!! you can also set the spds loose by the screws… i’d start easy… don’t make it too hard to unclip!!

5.10 Hellcat. That is all. :ok_hand:t2:

I love the adidas velosamba. Stiff enough for cycling but also comfy to walk.
Plus they Look like normal sneakers :)

the cheapest scratch MTB you can find. they have a whole another level of stiffness and protect your feet well. avoid fragile boa fastener or expensive sidi plastic buckles will break

i dislike chrome / velosamba the fabric flex too much , its a bit meh in term of performance …

spd or time whatever u prefer , time can be a death trap , spd can be clipping out but if you buy the 100$ pedals they usually hold better

after mant injuries in clipped i play on flats now with dr martens loafers and recently added a plastic “fat on bike” sole for added rigidity but gonna order some carbon soles

+1 for the Adidas Velosamba.

Stylish, comfortable and not so stiff as a real cycling shoe.
