Ciao a tutti!!
After a long wait, we are happy to announce the next Milanese winter tournament, which celebrates the typical fog (scighera in Milanese dialect) of the area—actually there is not that much fog anymore, thanks to a real climate change but we like to keep celebrating it :fog:.
Milano’s Scighera Mixed is back in town, kindly hosted by our evergreen partner in crime Spazio Pubblico Autogestito Leoncavallo, one of the oldest and active squat in Italy with his 49 years of fight and resilience!
We were able to fit the tournament in some brand new dates never experienced before: Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 of November 2024, hopefully a bit warmer than the usual December editions.
Although we have one court, we want to gather as many teams as possible and considering that our indoor court has lights, we can extend the games after sunset.
We usually reward faster team registration, but since we expect a high demand, we’ll mix both “first come first served” and lottery, in case we exceed the maximum number of allowed teams.

Leoncavallo housing
Leoncavallo is always keen on hosting our tournament and players are welcome in the hospitality rooms just above the court. They offer their hospitality for free, but as usual we prefer to collect some money to help the squat keep on running, paying the bills and supporting its activities. That’s why we ask €5/night/person to all those who want to sleep there. Hospitality rooms have toilets, showers, heating and a washing machine. If you are interested please send an email to info@milanobikepolo.com to reserve your spots. There are limited beds/mattresses (around 20 maybe more) but plenty of floor space, so first come first served apply here as well.
Breakfast
Bread, jam and creams, fruits and juices will be available in the players’ area next to the court throughout both days and are included in the registration fee. Other beverages are available at Leoncavallo kitchen.
Lunch/snanck/dinner
Leoncavallo has an open kitchen throughout our stay providing for all your lunches, dinners and of course drinks (sold separately).
Side activities (marketplace, talks, projections, alleycat…)
We are working in collaboration with local cycling communities to enable side activities in the self-managed public space, more info will come as soon as we have confirmations on this side. If you have activities to propose, please don’t hesitate to contact us at info@milanobikepolo.com.
