Dear community,
the era of quings is lost beneath the mist. You will not find the prestigious tourney in this year’s calender. We are thinking about something different this time. Do not come as a lone worrier to Hamburg. “Bring in the fourth” to our Mixed Matrix Open 2026. We invite 12 teams in squad format to our Halstenbek polo club. We are accepting team compositions with ABBC players (1xA, 2xB, 1xC). The main role of the A player is to guide the team on and off court, not to scoop around and score as many goals as possible. We will not enforce strict rules about court time of the A players, but keep that role in mind. Games are starting saturday morning, probably in two groups. Finals are estimated for Sunday afernoon. The exact format will follow.
Register your team until 30.6.2026. If we see the a tendency to two A players in a team, three B players or whatever, we might ask to reconsider the strength and composition of the team. One Flinta player is mendatory. If more than 12 teams register, there will be a lottery. 15€ per person, payable via PayPal in advance.
Camping is easily possible next to the court as usual and we will provide breakfast and at least one meal. Showers are located 5 min biking distance from the court, as well as a grocery store. We will have beers, seccos and other hot and cold drinks in our container kiosk, better known as Kiosque Royaal.
