Good question, Iām about to build my new 700c 48H perro wheels. Did not order the spokes yet. I was thinking of DT champion 2.0 but then I thought, a spoke always brakes from the nipple end, so do I really need 2.0 straight gauge spokes? have you guys ever seen a spoke braking in half in polo? On the other hand how much weight will I save by using 2-1.8-2 spokes anyways, complete wheels will be heavy as hell either way.
What lacing do you suggest on a 700 48H?

triple lacing, and yes they will break at any point if you dont use cover.
im just reading about spokes as we speak i found this nice comparative . watch out some cant be trimmed to length so you have to order the proper length one time !
