heu… can we have an HotDog Emoji too, at least?
Sam can we have the crazy person emoji? Haha
@Tom_Machado told me he wanted this emoji for MAKE WAY :
(he think it’s a dash but for me it’s a fart, go figure)
Definitely is a fart. Haha
Either one, you’ll be stuck in it😛
All swiss clubs will be present.
So, what’s the format being discussed?
Our thoughts:
10 teams RR on two days (18min game, 5min break, 8:30 of total play per day. Start at 9 finish at 17)
SWISS CHAMPS: all games counts
EURO RANK: all Mongrels games are out.
(not just remove the team
form the final ranking list, remove their games before doing the maths)
Registration closes on Monday 24th of April.
We will define the schedule once teams are fixed.
Aside from that, there are other factors/logistics (before and after the main event) we need to plan and align as well.
Thanks.
can we also have some emoji?
Is going to be easy to figure out.
Also passion Croissant isn’t part of the qualifier.
Anyone looking for a third or fourth?
(Just FYI, I play in Geneva)
Luce will also be there with her polo stuff if someone needs a sub
- Registration is closed.
- 10 teams are fixed.
- All teams are eligible to participate.
- The tournament will be the euro-qualifier as well as the swiss championship 2023.
- At the moment, ZBP is internally discussing “tournament mode”-proposals.
We will inform you once we have reached a consensus.
Thank you for your patience.
Team WHO is complete.
Fat team
Dear future champions
We are thrilled to welcome you in Zurich to play for both, the Swiss champions and the qualification for the Europeans! *
Here’s what you need to know:
FRIDAY Pick-ups with lights until 9pm
SATURDAY and SUNDAY games from 9am to 7pm
Saturday after the games we have the opportunity to have dinner together directly next to the court. Later we’ll move on for bonfire, chill and music and whoeverknowswhatwillhappen. **
Everyone who’s been looking for a bed will be hosted. Details about sleeping will be sent to your team captains email.
Breakfast and some snacks will be provided at the court both Saturday and Sunday morning. We will provide gas grills for whatever lunch you bring. Beer and some non-alcoholic beverages will be available too. Please bring your own cup, plate and cutlery!
The fee is to be transferred to our bank account. Please remind your captain to check the mails. A deposit slip will be attached.
See you soon!
(*) 10 teams are playing to become Swiss champions. Since 2 teams have already qualified players, only 8 are competing for the qualification ranks for the European championships.
(**) Dinner will be a green salad, pasta and tomato sauce for an extra 15.- per player
I known @sam you’re on it right now but a variant comes to my mind and I can’t help myself but to share it:
- 10 teams RR
a) raw ranking to seed the SE for the Swiss champs
b) ranking minus all the games of the two qualified teams seeds the euro qualification ranking.
RR phase is 9 rounds / 45games / 17h long.
5 rounds the Saturday
4 rounds the Sunday
- Then SE 4 teams to have a proper final for the Swiss champs
Top 4 teams from the a) rank plays in a single elimination (3 games in total).
Total games 45+3 * 23min = 18:30 of games
You have 10h per day right? (9:00-19:00).
Advantage of RR is that you can play any game of any round if needed.
RR is boring but if you can fit some SE games to have a proper finale et could be great.
You can play on the length of the games, you save 1:30 in total if you go with 16min games.
Hi,
We’re going with option 1 @coolquentin mentioned.
Id est
- 10 teams Round Robin (45 games)
- Top 4 Single Elimination (4 games: 2 semi-finals, 1 bronze, 1 final)
- -Champ Ranking: Defined by all games
- -Ranking: Overall Ranking minus not-eligible euro-slot contender
Additional information
- Exact time schedule will be coming soon via Email as well as posted here.
- We are aware of the updated rule set, and had brief conversations on that with Alejandro and Django last weekend.
TL;DR
- ALL teams are in the “morning” group.
We’re trying our best.
Thank you for your patience.
