Sadly we can´t host you privately, and want to ask you to organize it yourself!

LOCATION:
The new Court… It´s quite central and easy accessible by bike. Just follow the river Mur.
It´s a proper Bikepolo / Inline Hockey Court. 40x20m, boards, Hockey goals, … Sadly we don´t have lights. Therefore (and because the grand opening is on 19. sept) the date can not be changed (sooooorry, no hate please ) . So be on time and mind the schedule!
We organize a players area like at the International Open in Volksgarten. But I don´t know yet how it will be because the court and surroundings is still under construction. And since the Park next to the court will be finished in 2026 we don´t have toilets and showers directly at the court yet. There are public toilets ~500m (53sec by bike) down the mur at the cycling route. But we could organize a DIXI toilet aswell if it´s necessary.
So nice that you finally got a proper court - looking very much forward to play there!
Anyway I want to mention that it would have been nice if we would have had a poll about where and when the champs should be, like we always did in the past.
I am 100% sure that everyone would have voted for doing it in Graz.
It feels kind of strange that you just announced it without discussing it at all, also regarding format and who may join or not from other countries.
Did I miss that on Signal / Telegram?
e.g. I would love to see merged championships with the polo people from czech republic. Maybe we can have a discussion about that 2026.

Sorry that you missed it. But it was already discussed last year that’s Graz turn this year. To make a full circle 2023 Vienna, 2024 Linz, 2025 Graz… And I wrote about the court on signal a month ago. There ws a request to do it in Graz. And no other cities showed any interest to host it!
Please don’t do the same move like last year, when Linz was already organizing and 3 weeks before the championship: “Let’s do it in Vienna”. You know, when you know… That’s kinda strange. To say it polite.
Regarding date. I mentioned that no other date is really possible and therefore I announced it 3 months in advanced. That’s plenty of time imo.
And I thought it have already been discussed about merging the championship with the czechs and we sticked to the 2/3 rule?!
Why excluding the Hungarians or Slovens (+Croats)?!
And there might be too many teams then and possibly an austrian couldn’t participate.
But if you want to we discuss it again for 2026.
Anyways I’d be happy to attend a tournament in Vienna this Year!
Ah, okay - I did not know that it was already settled last year. All good. It’s cool to do the champs round robin location wise.
Personally I am fine with the date, did not mention it.
Regarding merging the participants: getting Hungary and Slovenia on board is a good idea. Dont know how many people play in Croatia (?), but would be cool as well. Merging it would have the advantage that we can fill 16 slots easily, and country’s with less polo players would have an dedicated annual tournament as well. I think we should discuss it for 2026.
No need to imply that I would vote for a change of location shortly before the event. Why would I ?
