The 2022 edition of berlin:mixed, the big co-ed mixed gender tournament with 48 teams and 3 courts, will happen between the 29th and 31st of July. Register clicking here! Deadline for registration is the 8th of March, noon, Berlin time. The teams will be chosen by lottery on the evening of the same day already, so there is enough time to organize tickets if you come from far away.

Some important rules for registration:

  • No TBAs;
  • At least two gender identities have to be represented in your team;
  • Teams with two WTNB* identified players will be given two lives in the lottery;
  • All players have to be available on all three tournaments days (Friday, July 29th, 8:00 to Sunday, July 31st, 19:00). There will be no subbing. If one or more players are missing, the remaining player(s) will play the game on their own. If your whole team doesn’t show up you’ll lose your games but you’ll still be able to enter the tournament at your next scheduled game;
  • If you make it to the team list you’ll be asked to pay the registration fee of 75 Euros. If you don’t pay until the deadline stated in the information e-mail sent to you after the lottery, you’ll be put at the end of the waiting list;
  • All team players will have to register as main refs or assistant refs. Please make up your mind which one you prefer to be;
  • We will respect the Covid-related regulations from the German state at the time of the event and we will hold the right to exclude any players who do not comply;
  • In case of cancellation of the event, we will refund all of the money we haven’t spent yet.

RULE CHANGE:

There is no preferred waiting list for Berlin players subbing in your team if you can’t come with the three players that registered. If something happens and someone can’t come, you will have to look for your own subs. Of course you can always ask us if we know of someone who might be interested to play.

The “no TBAs” rule still applies.

Who else couldn’t sleep out of excitement for the lottery results? I know @momo was anxious. Thank you so much to @gabi , @Leon and @mackah69 for helping out with the lottery, and thanks to everybody who was online in the video call. We forgot to record it, but there were enough witnesses there, I guess. Stay tuned to your e-mails in the next days; you will receive the infos regarding payment etc over there. And of course, don’t hesitate to contact us if you wanna chat!

that was probably already in the waiting list part, as those snippets of paper were also drawn to get the order of the waiting list. our notes are pretty accurate, more than the microphones.
